Subscription terms

The Secrecy Club is operated by Elliot Fagerberg, trading as The Secrecy Club (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or subscribing you enter into an agreement with us and you agree to these terms. If you continue to use the service, you accept them.

You must be of legal age in your country to enter into this agreement, and any information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account.

The Secrecy Club is a recurring monthly subscription to a digital alternate reality game (ARG) mystery experience. The subscription fee is €9 per month.

Each calendar month contains one self-contained mystery (a “case”). Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access the current case and all of its transmissions for as long as your subscription remains active.

Your first payment of €9 is charged at the moment you subscribe. This immediately activates your membership.

Renewal payments of €9 are charged on the 1st of each calendar month, in advance of that month's case. If your first payment falls mid-month, your renewal still occurs on the 1st of the following month.

If a renewal payment fails, we will retry the charge and notify you by email. If payment cannot be completed, your subscription is suspended until a successful payment is made.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Stripe's terms for managed payments, available at stripe.com/legal.

Our order process is conducted by Stripe, which acts as Merchant of Record for our orders. Stripe handles payment processing, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds and transaction-level customer enquiries. Your bank statement will show LINK.COM* alongside The Secrecy Club.

You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no notice period and no cancellation fee.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the current month's case until the case closes at the end of that month. No further payments are taken after cancellation.

Prices are listed in EUR. Applicable taxes — including VAT, where required by your country of residence — are calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm payment.

Where taxes are collected at checkout, they are remitted to the appropriate tax authorities on your behalf. Any tax amount charged will appear on your receipt.

The mystery is delivered digitally to the email address you provide at signup. The opening transmission for each case is sent on the 1st of the month at 00:01 CET.

If you subscribe after the 1st, the current month's opening transmission is sent to you immediately after your first payment is confirmed.

Transmissions may contain links to hidden web pages, images, documents, audio, and ciphers. All content is accessible with a standard web browser and email inbox — no special software or accounts are required.

You are responsible for keeping your email address current and for ensuring our transmissions are not caught by your spam filter. We are not responsible for clues lost to a spam folder you never checked.

You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not use it unlawfully, commit fraud, send spam, infringe anyone's intellectual property, or interfere with its security — including malware, probing, scraping, or attempting to circumvent technical limits.

The experience depends on secrecy. Publicly sharing solutions, hidden URLs, or case materials spoils the mystery for other members.

All case materials are for your personal use only and may not be redistributed, resold, published, or reverse engineered.

We retain all ownership of the service and everything in it — the cases, transmissions, puzzles, text, images, audio, software, and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.

Where you submit content to us, such as answers or messages, you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely in order to operate the service.

We work hard to keep the club running, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our acceptable use rules.

Where we terminate for breach, no refund is due for the current period beyond what the law requires. You may close your account at any time from your account page.

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and the courts of Sweden have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes — including to the price — we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing your subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
